MISSION STATEMENT

The Office of Professional Development of the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering exists to provide appropriate, effective and efficient ways and means

  • “to facilitate the acquisition and interchange of professional knowledge among its members”
  • “to promote the acquisition of that species of knowledge which has special reference to the profession of civil engineering”
  • “to encourage investigation in connection with all branches and departments of knowledge connected with the profession”

CHARACTERISTICS OF CSCE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES’ EXCELLENCE

Accreditation : Participants will be able to document their commitment to ongoing professional development with the award of Continuing Education Unit (CEU) or Professional Development Hour (PDH) credits by the Engineering institute of Canada. In addition CSCE will issue a personalized certificate recognizing participant success.

Quality Assurance of Continuing Education (CEUs) by EIC

Size: The number of participants in each program will be strictly limited to assure a high level of interactivity and informality among participants and animator.

Individualized Response: Program animators, incorporating participants’ needs and backgrounds, will coordinate and focus the experience to provide practical, applicable skills and knowledge acquisition. Further, participant satisfaction will be guaranteed in writing.

Expertise: Animators will be engaged on the basis of their knowledge and reputation. Further they will recognize the knowledge and experience of the participants. Animators will recognize that their ability to share information and guide Blackjack online in Canada discussion is valued most highly.

Responsiveness: Programs will involve significant regional and sectional consultation at all appropriate stages of program development, promotion and operation. This enhances the activity’s responsiveness to the individual participant’s needs.
